Biography
Kristin Richter is a lifelong Oklahoman who grew up in Tulsa, where she nurtured a love for storytelling and dance. After earning her high school diploma, she moved to Norman to attend the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a degree in journalism with a focus on public relations. Kristin spent two decades immersed in ballet, discovering her truest form of expression through movement and music.
After college, Kristin channeled her passion into non-profit public relations, dedicating nearly ten years to the field before her youngest child’s premature birth prompted her to become a stay-at-home mom. In 2011, she transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding Bridge Wood Lane, a venture that taught her invaluable lessons about the business world.
Now, Kristin is poised to merge her expertise in public relations with her entrepreneurial acumen to lead the Mustang High School Band Booster organization from 2024 through 2026. Her vision is to elevate the achievements of young musicians by securing corporate sponsorships and creating growth opportunities for students as both musicians and leaders.
Kristin shares her life with her husband, Nathan, whom she married in 2007. Nathan, a Mustang native and former drum major of the Mustang High School Marching Band, inspired their move to the area in 2009. Together, they’ve built a home in Mustang, where their children, Harrison and Kailyn, proudly carry on the family tradition as snare drummers in the Mustang High School Marching Band.
